M2_UPS_PMH_Customer_V91
22 October 2026

CUSTOMER PACKAGE
For M.2 UPS PMH Standard and Advanced, application firmware V88 (0x0088)
and the matching protected bootloader at 38400 bit/s.
Manual V91 PDF and Word are included. Firmware and bootloader C sources,
headers, compiler projects, build logs, build scripts and development tests
are excluded. Operational Python programs are supplied for installation,
monitoring, configuration and firmware updates.

EXTRACT AND INSTALL
The ZIP deliberately contains M2_UPS_PMH_Manual_V91/ so paths in the manual
remain correct. On the Raspberry Pi, with stable cable power:
cd ~
unzip M2_UPS_PMH_Customer_V91.zip
cd ~/M2_UPS_PMH_Manual_V91/installer
sudo python3 install_M2_UPS_PMH.py

After successful installation, if reboot is requested:
sudo reboot

Reconnect SSH, then:
cd ~/M2_UPS_PMH_Manual_V91/installer
sudo python3 install_M2_UPS_PMH.py --check

Installer V02 automatically appends dtparam=rtc_bbat_vchg=0 under [all].
This disables Pi RTC charging for the regulated 3.3 V M.2 backup cable.
Reboot is required. --check validates this policy and checks the actual
charger state when the Pi RTC charging_voltage interface is available.
20 host-side simulation tests passed. The V02 RTC change still requires
hardware validation. The installer does not flash MCU firmware.
